Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a disease of loss in bone mass. Such cases originate from loss of bone rigidity. The metabolic structure of our body permeates a balance between continuous bone breakdown and formation. However if the bone breakdown occurs at a faster rate than bone formation, then there is an overall loss in bone mass which marks the instance of osteoporosis. This disease remains unidentified till a bone injury or fracture takes place. Osteoporosis patients are more prone to fracture during any bone injury. Spine is the most vulnerable area for a patient suffering from this disease.
